Escort Web Designer Choices and Search Engine Optimization

Google SEO (search engine optimization) and you’ll find hundreds of listings for sites that offer SEO services. These companies promise to submit your site to thousands of search engines and directories and make your site SEO-friendly. Many of these companies do quality work at reasonable prices. Good for them! I hope they succeed. Unfortunately, many others charge outrageous fees for services that, to me, seem unnecessary.

Any website that’s designed correctly will soon start to index high with most search engines after minimal submission. No extra work needed. It’s that simple.

So the question is, do you care about SEO? For escorts and other adult entertainers, the answer should be yes. Why? Free advertisement, plain and simple. Many potential clients don’t know where you may advertise. They will plug in a few key phrases into search engines to look for local entertainment. Wouldn’t it be nice if your beautiful site came up on the first or second page of major search engines? It’s a no-brainer.

If you realize the usefulness of SEO and want your new website to be found in search engines with little effort on your part, you need to think about a few things before choosing an escort web designer.

There are many ways a designer can build a site in a search-engine friendly manner. These include proper positioning of the navigation bar, proper use of “alt” tags in conjunction with photos, and strategic placement of keywords.

That’s only part of the SEO picture, though. Page titles and meta-tags in your website design are vital to SEO. These are crucial elements to SEO that are set in the header section of your web pages. Not all escort web designers offer this simple SEO service in their website designs. If the designer you’re interested in doesn’t offer this, inquire if it’s available before signing up. There are also numerous articles to be found online that give instructions so you can create your own page titles and meta-tags. For the do-it-yourselfer, this can be a good option. Make sure that once your website is complete, you’ll have access to your control panel so you can make these additions yourself.

Another piece of the picture is a Google Sitemap. Don’t confuse this with a regular sitemap, which is part of a website design and acts as a roadmap for visitors to your site. A Google Sitemap is an xml document loaded into your control panel and submitted to Google using Google’s Webmaster Tools. This Sitemap basically asks Google to index your pages. Keep in mind that no one can force Google or any search engine to do anything. All you can do is gently suggest. :)

Creating, downloading, and submitting a Google Sitemap is also something you’re capable of doing on your own, with a little help from instructions you can find on the web. Again, check with your prospective designer, as you’ll need access to your website control panel to install your Sitemap.

Your site will also need to be submitted to search engines. The big three are Google, Yahoo, and Bing, which recently overtook Yahoo as the number two search engine in the US, following Google. There’s also dmoz open Directory Project. Once you submit your site there, hundreds of other search engines will pick it up. All of these search engines are free to submit to and can be done easily yourself in just a few minutes. All you have to do is Google “submit website to” and the search engine of yourself to find links to submit your site. It’s easy!

It’s been my experience that a website designed with SEO in mind and including the few SEO tips listed above can list on the first page of Google in as little as a week or up to six months. Much also depends on the amount of text in your site (the more the better) and keywords that are included in your text (much more the better).

Remember that with search engines, you must be patient. It takes time for your pages to be indexed and start showing up in searches. The ways of the search engine bots can be incomprehensible. So once your site or newly-adopted SEO practices are complete, be prepared to wait for everything to take effect.

When you choose your escort web designer or adult website SEO service, take all of this into consideration and decide what’s best for you. Use your common sense and don’t throw money away on SEO schemes that seem too good to be true.
