For designers who include webmaster service, find out what type of updates are included. There’s usually a discrepancy between simple text updates and photo updates, which generally take longer for a webmaster to do.
Ask how long updates are included for. Six months, one year, for life? This is important for you to know! Find out how long it will take updates to be done. It’s a very good idea to contact some of the designer’s clients for a reference regarding their reliability with updates.
Some designers, including myself, not only include website updates with our escort web design packages, but we also generally “keep an eye” on your site. To me, that includes visual checks to make sure your site is displaying properly. I also consider checking your website’s error logs important. Not only can this practice determine any possible errors visitors receive while viewing your site, it can also indicate security risks.
It’s also possible to hire a webmaster for an existing website. Always check with your designer before signing up for website updates elsewhere, as this may be in violation of your prior agreement with your designer.
